It is always interesting to see what value other people place on items as they bid in hopes of securing an item on eBay. This monthly article presents a few items of interest, gives you a short description of each, and lets you know what someone paid to take the item home.

1910 Touring Car This 1912 Ford Model T Touring car was offered out of Langhorne, Pennsylvania. The seller provided 20 different photos of the car to give bidders inside, outside, underside and every other side views of the vehicle. Despite needing a new paint job, a new back panel, a new top and a number of other repairs, the car garnered 21 bids, selling for $16,500.
jitney music sheet Alright, how many of you know what "jitney" means? This 1915 music sheet, entitled I DIDN'T RAISE MY FORD TO BE A JITNEY, was offered in September by a seller in Kansas. With some matting and a nice frame, this item would look attractive hanging on your den wall or in your shop/garage. By the way, a "jitney" is a taxi. But in this context, I think the composer was implying that now that he has his Ford, all of his friends, neighbors and relatives want him to give them a ride to the doctor's office, the grocery store, the beach, etc. Thus, he felt like he was running a taxi service. This item commanded seven bids and sold for $15.53.
engine This set of four, 21 inch wheels for a 1926 or 1927 Ford Model T was offered by a seller in Beloit, Ohio. The wheels were primed, but one did have a crack. There were only 5 bids made, but the lot sold for $400.
Vintage Firestone Ford Model T tires This brass, round tube radiator for a 1915 or 1916 Ford Model T was offered by a seller who had recently removed it from a 1915 car that was undergoing restoration. No other information was offered on the item. The radiator still attracted seven bids and sold for $365.
Ford charcoal grill A rare, old Henry Ford charcoal grill with a box of briquettes was offered by a seller in Daggett, Michigan. The grill was described as previously used, with some rust. The box of briquettes had been opened but still contained some briquettes. The Ford logo was embossed on the front of the grill. While it is a nice collectable item, the seller started the bidding at $249. That is probably its maximum value, and eBay bidders tend to avoid items with a 100% value starting bid. Thus, there were no bidders and the item went unsold.
torpedo A 1911 Ford Model T Torpedo Roadster was offered by a seller in Greenville, Michigan. This beautiful car's restoration was completed in May 2009 for the intended purpose of touring. It had all the bells and whistles for some great back road excursions. The asking price was $36,000, but the seller was willing to consider offers. Six offers were made, the highest being $33,000. But the car went unsold.
Model T fire truck A 1925 Ford Model T fire truck was offered by the St. Louis, Missouri, Car Museum with an opening bid of $25,695 or a Buy It Now for $34,900. They were also willing to consider trade offers. The fire truck was described as running and driving great. It would also fit in a 20' garage or trailer. With all that going for it, there were absolutely no bids made. It probably would be nice to have for parades, but it could be problematic for touring use.
