MINUTES OF THE MEETING

October 7 -11, 2009

The Texas T Party tour served as our October meeting and there was a great opportunity to drive our Model Ts and visit with Model T owners from across Texas and the nation.

Jennifer and Ross Lilleker organized the tour and planned road trips through many of the beautiful back roads of East Texas. On display each day were cars of all body styles that were produced throughout the Model T years.

Members who were present spent five days driving from one interesting site to the next, and photos of the trip can be seen on page 4 of the November issue of On the Road.

Let's Talk Turkey

Did you know that turkeys can have heart attacks? Turkeys have been found dead near Air Force bases where the sound barrier was broken during tests. The cause of deaths --- the turkeys dropped dead after having heart attacks.

The two turkeys in the photo below are having a conversation.

• First, roll your mouse over the head of each turkey.
• Next, roll your mouse over the tail feathers.
• It's Thanksgiving and you know what happens to turkeys in November. Do they look surprised? Click on the buttons below the photo to hear the conversation they had with a stranger.
