Buttercup, Paul Spitzenberger's 1911 Model T Torpedo, has done it again.
The temperature was hot...REALLY HOT...like 104 degrees hot.
Wanda and Paul were the 121st entry in the Round Top 4th of July parade, the oldest parade west of the Mississippi River. They were fortunate enough to be able to wait in the shade for their turn to enter the parade line, and while they were waiting to hear the cannon blast signaling the start of the parade, one of the parade judges handed Wanda a 3rd place ribbon.
A Packard won the $500 first place prize and a Model A from the Brazos Valley A's secured second place.
The photo you see below is Buttercup, parked in front of the Round Top mayor's house.
CONGRATULATIONS, PAUL and WANDA!
