1899    Left Edison to work on automobiles
1899    Became Detroit Automobile Company's partner and primary engineer
1903    Ford Motor Company is officially incorporated
1908    Manufacturing of the Model T begins
1910    Highland Park, Michigan plant opens
1913    Automobile assembly line is introduced
1918    Runs for U.S. Senate and loses
1919    Edsel B .Ford becomes president of Ford Motor Company
1927    Production of the Model T ends and the Model A begins
1943    Edsel B. Ford dies at age 49
1947    Henry Ford dies at age 83
