October 9, 2008
• The tenth monthly meeting was held at GattiTown in College Station on October 9, 2008. Tommy Supak called the meeting to order. The September minutes were approved as presented.
• Ross and Jennifer commented on the annual T Party which was held in Killeen. About 70 cars were present. Ross and Jennifer will organize next year’s T Party but the site is yet to be determined. They also spoke of doing a Natchez Trace Tour, possibly in April. Also mentioned was a possible tour to Hot Springs.
• Don Warner reported on the tour to Centerville, which was organized by Ben. The group went to Fort Boggy State Park. After leaving the park, the group traveled to the home of a Centerville resident to see his collection of Model Ts.
• Jennifer reported that she took a T to a local elementary school this week. Sam Mangum reported that they are going on a tour to Grove for their homecoming. Ernie reported about the upcoming Sixth Annual Veteran’s Day Parade and the Christmas Parade. Our club will pay a fee of $35.00 to participate in the Christmas Parade, and that fee covers up to ten cars. There will be an additional charge for more than ten cars.
• Sam Mangum was featured on a Waco TV station. He had been requested to show a reporter one of his cars and give a brief lesson about driving it.
• Patsy Supak reported on the upcoming Scarecrow Festival in Chappell Hill and the Brenham Festival.
• Tommy Supak passed out a trivia test regarding Henry Ford.
• Jennifer spoke about possibly changing the place of our meetings to the Bryan Library. That would allow us to eat at a place of our choice.
• Meeting was adjourned.
