The Run
Ten years ago, about 15 owners of street rods made a trip from the Conroe-Houston area to the Chicken Oil Company in College Station. These car enthusiasts, led by William Lucky of Conroe, decided that they would get together on the first Sunday in January of each year. Since that first meeting, hundreds of street rodders make their journey to Bryan-College Station to join fellow rodders from all parts for this once a year event.
Our Model T automobiles are certainly not classified as street rods, but it was interesting to see how some hobbyists changed the bodies and engines of the older cars.
